Have you ever been so happy that you pretty much cried your eyes out?
Imagine one day, when every single moment and detail, every word, smile and tear made up this huge ball of happiness and joy… This is how Katie and Jessie’s wedding day went.
If you know Katie and Jessie even a little bit, they are this dynamic duo, both very creative, passionate, adventurous and loving-life people, who wear their heart on a sleeve, and ready to shout from the rooftops for the entire world to know just how much they love and appreciate each other… You know it. It’s true! Such zest for life and passionate disposition has little to do with just showing off. Since the time we’ve met them, and shortly becoming good friends, I can surely tell you their hearts are truly rich with love and wonder, and fully surrendered to their awesome Savior. Their story of loss and new found family, their love for music and ministry, and also their genuine love for people, are real.
Their wedding day was filled with that kind of love, saturated in it. Bride and groom each wrote a letter for the other to read, before they saw each other. Those letters, every word, would make you cry. They also saved the kiss for the altar when the blessing was said and families prayed, and they were announced as husband and wife. They read their own, beautifully written personal vows, so deeply moving.
But wait until you see the full glory and splendor of this wedding and reception site! Awe-inspiring. All by the hand of Katie’s dad, also a worship pastor, David Phillips. It looked like a vision from a Cinderella’s palace. Beautiful gold and blue lighting, candles light and chandeliers, lots of sheer white draping and gorgeous gluten-free wedding cake.
Wish you were there…
